Develop Recruitment Strategy and Job Analysis

Meet with client to gain a shared understanding of their requirements.

Discuss the most appropriate recruitment, testing and selection strategy and estimated timelines to determine the full range of services required.

Assist with and Develop Advertising Strategy

We are able to assist with the design, preparation and placement of advertisement in the print media.

The Centres vary in complexity, depending on the client’s needs, and are negotiated in consultation between the client and a Locher Organisational Psychologist.

Brief Client

Brief client to confirm timelines and the recruitment strategy to be used.

Ensure client has a collective understanding of:


  • the selection process

  • equal employment opportunity 

  • the duties of the position 

  • the merit principle 

  • confidentiality issues 

  • individual roles.


Preparation of Information Sheet

Prepare Information Sheet for applicants, outlining the selection process in accordance with merit based process, if required.

Response to Position Enquiries

Receive and respond to all telephone and online enquiries outlining position requirements and recruitment process.

Receipt and Acknowledgement of Applications

Collect/receive all respondent CVs and applications and acknowledge all applications in writing.

Develop Screening / Shortlisting Tools / Matrix

Design matrix for screening criteria and shortlisting applications, based on the essential knowledge/skills/experience and desirable requirements of the job and person specification, in accordance with merit based process.

Candidate Assessment

Assessments are designed to provide standard, validated testing with the flexibility to create custom tests to meet specific client needs. Assessments are pre-determined for all assignments based on identified skill sets, competencies and key performance indicators required for the position.

Psychometric assessments are customised to meet specific client needs following consultation between our client and in-house registered psychologists.

Shortlisting of Applicants

Screen and shortlist applicants. Evaluate applications against Job and Person Specification, essential and desirable knowledge, skills and experience.

Presentation of Shortlisted Candidates

Debrief and present final shortlisted candidates to client for interview.
